Congratulations to Britvic, National Express and Synthomer for their ‘Best Annual Report’ nominations in the IR Magazine Awards. Judges are looking for a well-articulated equity story, clear navigation, state-of-the-art design and consistency/complementariness between different reports. Below is a short summary of each report.
Britvic
Britvic’s new 2025 business strategy, combined with this year’s new regulatory requirements, provided the company with an opportunity to create a unique and tailored report that communicates the Britvic story in a more compelling way than ever before.
Our strategic team worked with Britvic to craft its key message of delivering value, with five splash spreads in the Strategic Report highlighting how Britvic delivers value to its audiences.

National Express
Having responded effectively to the significant challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, National Express’s resilience and capacity for long-term value creation formed the focus for this year’s Annual Report, reflected in the strapline ‘Trusted through testing times’.
By focusing on resilience, commitment to ESG and capacity for long-term value creation, National Express’s 2020 Annual Report showcases the company’s fundamental strengths.

Synthomer
Given the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, Synthomer was keen to showcase its resilience based on its highly diversified business model – by product, market and geography – as well as its extended global reach following the transformative acquisition of OMNOVA, a specialist chemicals business headquartered in the US.
The clarity requested by investors, employees and external agencies (reflecting the fact that increasing amounts of data are mined from reports) and Synthomer's desire for clear and accessible information helped shape the design principles behind this Annual Report.
